As a Health and Safety Professional, my goal is to provide sound advice to my clients and employees that provides a solid foundation for their safety programs to keep workers safe. It is extremely important to me for any employee to perform their job safely so they can come to the end of their day and go back to the things they love.

My focus is on improving company health and safety programs. This is completed by performing external COR audits for companies in Alberta and the northern B.C. Peace Region, as well as developing health and safety management systems to meet a client’s business needs.

My work life started in accounting but quickly led to construction. Here, a love of working outdoors and directly with clients on their homes and commercial projects led me from working as a project manager to owning my own construction company, building residential and resort properties throughout Alberta and B.C. In 2006, an opportunity arose in the oilfield that led me back to the north and towards a career in safety.

Safety was a major part of my work experience in past construction roles and working on oilfield sites. This exposure led me to a full-time career in safety in 2010 when I began the NCSO program through the ACSA. This was followed by continued education through the University of Alberta’s OHS Certificate, carrying onto the CSSE – CHSC program which I completed in 2023.

My hobbies over the years have included hiking and running, with a passion for reading and learning. Cooking brings me relaxation, and everything can be done to the tune of a great song.
